Kate + Hate = Lots of people
Wow! Today I was cruising thru this great site I found a while back, EW.com-I like this site to catch up on AI and Lost…SIDEBAR: if you are a LOSTI, this is the best recap article for things that you might have missed or didn’t understand, and the guy who writes it does go off into left field every once an article and there is some scan reading required, but he catches EVERYTHING!!
anyway, back to my thought, I was cruising the EW site today and wanted to see who got kicked of DWTS, and I saw an article one of their contributors wrote about Kate Gosselin. The article itself wasn’t too flattering, but it wasn’t awful. What was the worst was the comment section down below…..wow wee! THey were laying into ol Kate big time! You wouldn’t believe how much people hate her…I don’t get it. Really. I don’t get why so many people hate her! So she’s pushy, bossy and kinda a loud mouth…who isn’t? So she talked to her now ex husband like he was one of the kids…who doesn’t every once in while(even if its not within earshot or out loud at all!) So she did a reality show. Who gives a crap!!?? I don’t care if that family makes its living by letting America see carefully edited hour slots of their everyday life! Personally, I watched the show and thought it was pretty cute! (That Aidan is a doll with his little glasses!!) I don’t resent her for doing what needs done to provide for children. I actually read her book, the first one, I don’t remember the name, but all the same, I think I understand why she’s like she is about some things. I think she is probably a naturally abrasive person and while that would wear on my nerves if I spent a lot of time with her… I don’t. And neither do any one of those commenters…so how do they know she’s the spawn of satan? How do they know she’s OCD or anything else for that matter. How do they know she’d sell her kids to be on TV? How do they know she alienates everyone she knew? By reading tabloids and snarky comments on the EW site? Not to mention that all this was under the comment section of a DWTS article, so they were ripping into her about her dancing..but I won’t start on that subject just yet…saving that nugget for later!
Kate Gosselin may be a lot of things, but I truly believe that she is a good mother and loves her kids. People who write about any celebrity, the horrible things like I saw today, should be ashamed of themselves. I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I agree with that notion, but I don’t agree with wishing a mother of eight small children a violent and painful death. I sure hate to think what people would say about me if my daily life was broadcast out on TV. Especially during PMS.
